Are you someone who is always looking for a great Bible study to complete? Do you get excited when one of your favorite authors comes out with a great book that you can use for small group? If so, plan now to attend the 2017 Bible Study Expo! It’s free, it’s online, and it’s coming Friday, March 31, 2017 from 12-3 PT, 1-4 MT, 2-5 CT, 3-6 ET.
If you’re like me, I love the Bible, and I love a good book. So, when I can find a great book that explores the Bible, I am all over it!
The 2017 Bible Study Expo will introduce you to 12 of the latest books out by authors who have God in mind! The best part of the Expo is you get to hear from the authors themselves. Each author will spend about 15-20 minutes discussing what their book is about, what inspired them to write it, and what message God has laid on their hearts to tell.
Here is a list of this year’s authors and their newly published books:
I can tell you from personally meeting both Suzanne Eller and Liz Curtis Higgs that they are true women of God who delight in His word. Suzanne Eller is both an author in her own right as well as a member of the Proverbs 31 team, which produces a variety of devotional materials. Liz Curtis Higgs is the author of over 30 books and adored but her fans for her quick wit and extraordinary storytelling ability. Those two interviews alone are worth attending!
I hope you find the Expo both entertaining and insightful, but most of all, I hope you find Jesus waiting to teach you another great lesson through some very talented folks!!! You can find the 2017 Bible Study Expo at www.BibleStudyExpo.com. Be sure to register to win a FREE book from one of the authors!
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV
I’ll see you at the Expo!
Are you like me, always trying to find that specific bible verse to fit the current circumstance you are in? Sometimes it is a good situation and other times not so much.
In today’s world, the internet is bringing information to us at record speeds. Fortunately, there are sites available that help put God’s Word at our fingertips, helping to counteract an overwhelming and never-ending stream of thoughts that seem to bombard us daily. With a few key strokes, we can find comfort, compassion, mercy, and grace.
Bibleverses.com is one such site.
In 2015, the site was restructured to not only accommodate those who see without issue, but to also be accessible by those who may suffer some type of visual impairment, such as low vision or color blindness. This is truly a unique aspect of the site.
Along with providing free access to the entire Bible online, subscribers can receive a verse of the day sent directly to their email. The site also offers a quick reference list of the top verses on specific topics, such as children, marriage, healing, and worry, just to name a few.
Another defining characteristic of the site is the associated blog. The posts contained within the blog are from both site administrators as well as Christian bloggers across the nation. I have had the pleasure of contributing to the site myself, and you can see those contributions here:
In addition, you may search for specific scriptures using the website’s search engine. And don’t forget to follow them via your favorite social media outlet: Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
As the site continues to grow, be on the look out for more resources, posts, and site extras!
Today, take a moment and remember those who lost their lives on 9/11.
Be back soon with fresh new posts. May God bless the USA.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
2 Cor. 1:3-4 NLT
Hoping you are ready to leave 2015 behind and reach for 2016! Every step forward is a good step!
I will be using the first two weeks of the year to plan the rest of the year. Look for a new blog post by January 15th.
In addition, watch for a new design to the website as well as more speaking engagements and book signing events in 2016.
We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. 2 Corinthians 6:6 NLT
Wow! I can’t believe it has been a little over a month since we talked! It really went fast, and God has been so faithful! I have so much to tell you! Starting this weekend, I will begin posting again on a weekly basis.
Taking some time to refresh and ground myself again was well worth it. I definitely needed to drink deeply from the well of living water! Maybe today you do too!
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ John 7:37-38
Of course, going back to Nicaragua this year was an incredible boost! Seeing the growth of the church, orphanage, and feeding center there in just two short years was amazing! And then, being able to share Love Echoed Back with some pretty awesome ladies just topped it off!
Can I say it again! AWESOME!!!
So stay tuned. Lots of new things coming: new posts, a new look for the website, new speaking engagements, and work on my second book! Please share with your family and friends!!!
Until this weekend, walk in His light! Blessings!!

I hope you are having a great summer!
Summer is definitely in full swing and lots of exciting things are still on the horizon! On July 23rd, I will be traveling down to the She Speaks conference in Concord, NC. Thanks to the ladies at Proverbs 31 Ministries for putting on this conference every year! Part of the conference is an opportunity to sit with a traditional publisher, and this year I get a chance to speak with a representative from both Thomas Nelson and Harper Collins! I will be pitching my new book, Christianity’s Ticking Time Bomb: The Empowered Christian.
From August 10-17th, I will be traveling to Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua with the church for our annual missions trip! Be on the look out for photos from that trip!!
On August 23rd, I will be speaking at Liberty Spring Christian Church (more details to come). So appreciative of the invite. Thanks LSCC!!
So in light of all that, today I was reminded of this scripture:
Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain. Psalm 127:1 ESV
I am so excited for what the Lord is doing, and I hope by September to unveil a new look to my website and social media pages as well as the ministry name He has given me! Expect some great changes!
Now, to get ready for all that, I need to take a little time to prepare! So this will be my last blog post for a month. I will, however, continue to Tweet some really great quotes from time to time! I will begin posting again while down in Nicaragua so you can see the great things the Lord is doing there!!
I would appreciate your prayers during this time as I take a step back, allow the Lord to use me as He sees fit, and try to gain further direction for what the rest of the year has in store!
Blessings til August!!!
