With wide valleys and open pastures, Boundary Country is a relaxed place for outdoor adventure.
Popular activities include cycling the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, a transformed rail line that follows the Kettle River from Midway, and summertime swims or paddles across one of the areas popular lakes and rivers. This area of southern British Columbia bordering Washington State was once filled with copper mines; today, visitors can still unearth crystals inside geodes.
Along Highway 3 are the historic towns of Bridesville, Rock Creek, Kettle Valley, Midway, and Greenwood. At Grand Forks, where the Kettle and North Kettle (Granby) rivers meet, there’s an abundance of lush farmland.
