Walk in His Light!

Nicaragua Mission Trip 2015

Nicaragua Missions Trip 2015

We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. 2 Corinthians 6:6 NLT

Wow! I can’t believe it has been a little over a month since we talked! It really went fast, and God has been so faithful! I have so much to tell you! Starting this weekend, I will begin posting again on a weekly basis.

Taking some time to refresh and ground myself again was well worth it. I definitely needed to drink deeply from the well of living water! Maybe today you do too!

On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!  Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ John 7:37-38

Of course, going back to Nicaragua this year was an incredible boost! Seeing the growth of the church, orphanage, and feeding center there in just two short years was amazing! And then, being able to share Love Echoed Back with some pretty awesome ladies just topped it off!

Until this weekend, walk in His light! Blessings!!

Are You Joyful Today?

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are his.
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

Psalm 100

So the past few weeks have been incredibly busy, stressful, and just plan overwhelming! I know we all have days like that, but when they pile on all at once, it is crazy! You can just get defeated!

This past week, I decided to get some help! I needed intercession, and I went for it! I am blessed to have some awesome friends who were willing to pray with me this past week. Praying to God can take the weight off your shoulders, but praying to God with friends can lift you off the ground.

Hope for Today and Tomorrow

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 NLT

Tonight as I pondered what to pen in this post, I could not help thinking about all the things I am hopeful for. The past two weeks have been pretty exciting, and there were days filled with hope and promise. Much of it revolves around the dream the Lord has placed in my heart. I am thrilled by all the things that are falling into place, not just surrounding Love Echoed Back, but the future possibilities that are ahead of me as well.

However, the pressure of balancing work, home, and the call on my life has also been building. On top of everyday chores around the house, my current project list at work has become dramatically heavy as we push to meet an upcoming deadline, and I am in full prep-mode for the She Speaks Conference at the end of July.  Oh …and there is that manuscript to get back to the publisher.

Now, not for a moment do I believe the battle raging around the events competing for my time is some sudden coincidence. The devil is clearly putting up hurdles, thinking he will wear me out before I can cross the finish line. The true challenge before me is not time management, but to not lose hope!

Book Update

Update on Love Echoed Back!

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous week!

This week, I will not be posting a full blog post. Instead, I will post just a couple of scriptures to ponder.

The reason I am not posting this week is due to the progress on my book, Love Echoed Back. I have received my manuscript back from the editor and will be reviewing a few minor edits before it goes to the Interior Designers! I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers over the next week while I wrap up the editing portion of the publishing process!

I will definitely be back to writing next week! Until then, ponder this:

What do you need to let go of? What is Jesus trying to do in your life?

But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.  –Isaiah 43:18-19 NLT

What do you need to praise the Lord for this week?

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.  –Psalm 9:1-2 NLT

Feel free to leave a comment, and let me know what Jesus is doing in your life!
